Hydrogen UK has announced the shortlist for its 2024 Awards designed to celebrate the leading companies in the UK hydrogen economy.

Set to be held March 11, 2024, the annual conference will include categories such as Innovation Project, Hydrogen for Transport, Industrial Application, Infrastructure Project, Future Leader, and Green Project.

The 2023 conference hosted over 500 delegates, more than 55 exhibitors and 35 speakers, and the 2024 event held at the National Conference Centre (NCC) in Birmingham set to be even bigger, with over 650 delegates anticipated.

Projects deployed by Centrica and HiiRoc, ESB, National Gas, Sunbourne, have been entered into the Innovation Project award, whilst First Hydrogen, Hydrogen Vehicle Systems (HVS), Logan Energy, and Toyota were selected for the Hydrogen for Transport category.

BOC, Carlton Power, ESB, HYRO, and Progressive Energy were selected for the Industrial Application category. Arup, Exolum, Cadent (East Midlands Hydrogen), and Cadent (Hydrogen Valley), have entered into the Infrastructure Project award.

The Future Leader category included Emily Wiltshire, Senior Consultant at Arup; George Brookfield, Hydrogen Operations Project Delivery Manager at Cadent; Jake Martin, Hydrogen Business Development Manager at Haskel; Joe Bailey, Project Manager at Progressive Energy; and Joe Ward of EET Hydrogen.

Projects headed up by Arcadis, Fuel Cell Systems, Logan Energy, and Riverside College were selected for the Green Projects award.
